The Pop Up Kitchen / Bar was designed by two post graduate architecture students from Oxford Brookes in 2012. Originally designed as a mobile unit to be pulled by a bike, however due to cost implications the prototype was built from timber rather than aluminium. Weight restrictions mean it is to heavy to be pulled by a bike.

The prototype being sold is a static bar / kitchen, which can be pulled on the back of a trailer. The wheels are for show only. During transportation and storage everything that is required for the Pop Up is contained within the main volume, for instance the folding table, stools etc. But when sited the table then folds out from the main volume and a roof is attached. The Pop Up is painted with black board paint, allowing the users to draw all over it in chalk.
